Bordeaux wines are derived from the Bordeaux region of France and include Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot. Rhone wines are derived from the Rhone Valley of France and include Syrah, Grenache and Mourvedre. There are many other varietals from these regions but these are the common varietals.
